     Two lotus leaves meet
together to form this box, 
whose cover is decorated 
with lotus flowers.  Very 
artfully,  the  petals  are 
raised slightly in relief.  
The Ch'ien-lung reign mark 
is inscribed on the base 
in  standard  script 
calligraphy.
